Operating as usual
Happy Birthday Dr. Chad🎂🥳
We are winding our week of staff training to prepare for a safe & phased return to routine dental care!
Infection control and safety has always been paramount at our office; we are reaffirming that commitment by joining OSAP, the Organization for Safety, Asepsis, & Prevention with the mission of the safest dental visit possible.
We will be in the office the week of May 11th to see emergencies and for a staff in-service to master our plan & protocols for a safe return.
Beginning May 18th, we will slowly start resuming some essential procedures with a myriad of additional precautions and procedures. While this is a step towards normalcy, it will be everything but normal.
For more information, please visit grand.dental/covid.
The Governor has extended the prohibition on non-emergent dental procedures through May 15th. We are in the process of reaching out to patients with upcoming appointments. We remain willing and able to manage dental emergencies. If you experience a dental emergency, please call the office to speak with a team member or for instructions to reach the doctor on call.
Our office remains closed for all but non-emergent dental treatment by order of the Governor. If you experience a dental emergency please call the office for instructions to reach the doctor on call.
Effective March 18, 2020 we are transitioning to emergency only dental treatment on the recommendation of the Iowa Department of Public Health, the Iowa Dental Board, the American Dental Association & Iowa Dental Association.
We are in the process of contacting patients with upcoming appointments.
If you experience a dental emergency during this time, please call the office where instructions to reach the doctor on call can always be found, even if the office is closed.
Our office remains open with our previously established enhanced infection control procedures and additional patient screening precautions effective Monday, March 16.
We anticipate an increased fluctuation in our schedule and potential varied hours in the coming days; as always the doctor on call can be reached by calling the office. We are constantly monitoring updates from the IDPH and CDC and are committed to making sure we can continue provide care in a manner safe for our patients and staff, how that looks in the days ahead remains unknown, like all of your we are taking things one day at a time.
COVID-19 Friday afternoon update:
Our office plans to remain open next week with our enhanced infection control protocols that were implemented beginning March 9th.
On Monday, March 16th we are implementing additional recommendations pertaining to patients who are experiencing influenza-like-illness, have recently traveled, or are at increased risk. Our office is contacting patients with upcoming appointments accordingly. We anticipate a higher than usual number of cancellations in the coming weeks that could impact our normal office hours.
As always, the doctor on call can always be reached via our phone system whenever we are not in the office.
We are closely monitoring the seasonal flu and coronavirus disease (COVID-19) impacting Iowa. Our office policies have always met or exceeded the Centers for Disease Control Guidelines for Infection Control in Dental Health-Care Settings and we have enacted additional precautions to protect our patients and staff. If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms, please give us a call and we will reschedule your appointment.
Thank you to all of our patients for helping us create 2000 Cerec Crowns for you.
