How do snap-in dentures compare to other types of dentures?
Advancements in the quality of dentures have led to more opportunities and options for dentures. From fixed to flexible to metal to partial, form follows function. In other words, the way they’re applied affects their use.
For example, fixed dentures are permanent, meaning you don’t take them out because they’re designed to be immovable. As a result, they usually require the implantation of between four and six posts rather than four or two like with snap-in dentures. Implant-supported dentures have a great deal of stability while combining the convenience of removability, which also makes them easier to clean. These are yet more reasons why so many of our patients have chosen snap-in dentures. They’re easy to maintain (no more denture adhesive!), durable and more cost effective than fixed. You get more than your money’s worth with snap-in; you gain self-confidence, convenience and comfort, while shedding embarrassment, doubt and disillusionment.

Same Day Dentures
Can you get extractions and dentures in the same day? Of course you can. Since we are a full service denture office we provide extractions and dentures in the same day. The dentures need a week or two to be made in advance at our laboratory, but then you can leave with the new false teeth after your teeth are removed. The new false teeth will be slightly uncomfortable while you heal, but we will do our best to make them fit perfectly. The best part is that you will look amazing with your new fake teeth.
Same day dentures are great for patients who need front teeth removed or are concerned about their smile. The very best dentures in a day take just a few weeks to make and then you can get your new false teeth. Dental insurances cover same day dentures so your out of pocket will be minimal. For those without dental insurance or who need financing we work with Care Credit as they have 12 month interest free payment plans. So if you searched for same day dentures near me then you found the perfect office for your new perfect smile.

Dental offices are rather safe!
Do you remember the moment as a child where you first realized your grandparents wore dentures? Maybe they were poorly fitting and slipped while your grandparent was telling a funny story. Perhaps you woke your grandfather up unexpectedly, and he hadn’t “put his teeth in yet.”
Even then, you likely never considered that you might also need dentures someday.
At some point in your life – and not just when you’re over 70 – you may start seeing the signs that make you ask, “Should I get dentures?” But will you recognize them when they happen?
Keep reading to learn when to consider dentures for the first time.

Dental implant procedures are considered to be a minor surgical procedure. The area we’ve worked in may be tender at first. Taking time to rest, recover, and eat softer foods are the key to speeding up your recovery. You can clean the installation site with salt water to keep the area free of debris. It’s best to avoid brushing and hot liquids like coffee in the first week of recovery. Once this time has passed, you can brush your teeth like normal.
Over the counter medications like Tylenol and Aspirin will help to alleviate any discomfort. We will also provide antibiotics to prevent any infections. Depending on how fast you heal, it can take anywhere from six to ten weeks to have your new, permanent teeth installed. Although this seems like a long time, these permanent teeth will last you for the rest of your life. The ability to chew, brush, floss, and smile with confidence will far outweigh the recovery period.
Dental implants have a 95% success rate, it does take time to heal, but your new teeth are undoubtedly worth it.

They are the preferred solution today for replacing missing teeth, and almost anyone can be a candidate for dental implants. Infrequently, though, a medical condition or other circumstance may make installing implants problematic. You can replace just one tooth, or all 32, with dental implants.
Usually, you will be considered a candidate for dental implants if your jawbone is in good shape, your gums are healthy, and are a non-smoker. If you do smoke, you will need to stop during the implant surgery, and for several months afterward while healing takes place.

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health.
As of June 8th we will begin to offer regular dental appointments, including cleanings, and all other dental services.
Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.
Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that we you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable.
Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association, U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued.
You may see some changes when it’s time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:
Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.
We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. You will also find some in the reception area and other places in the office.
We will be scheduling extra time for every appointment to allow for proper infection control protocol.
There will be no reception area. All patients will be immediately directed to their appropriate room.
Patients will not be allowed extra guests in the office, except under special circumstances.
We will be using text messaging to let you know when we are ready for you to come in for your appointment. During this time, it’s extremely important to be prompt to your appointment.
Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends.

Am I a Good Candidate for All On Four?
If you especially suffer from teeth loss or you need to have all your teeth removed in the upper and lower jaws, this procedure may be the best choice for you. Not only are they cost effective but they increase the oral health of patients by reducing the rate of dental issues like periodontitis or gum disease.
Additionally, people who also have experienced bone loss qualify for these implant restorations as well. Also, since the procedure involves a minor surgery, it is best for people who are anxious about dental procedures. Additionally either one arch or both arches can be completed at one time.

The health and wellbeing of our patients, our employees and the greater community are of utmost importance to us. With the recent elevated level of the COVID-19 virus (Coronavirus) it is the responsibility of the entire public, as well as businesses, to take the necessary precautions and proactive actions to help prevent the spread of this virus.
At our office, we will continue to serve our patients while we learn more about this virus and its potential impact on our community. Our patients should continue to feel safe coming to their visits, as we have always employed universal precautions to protect their health and that of our employees including wearing gloves, eye protection and masks, and washing our hands frequently (before and after any patient interaction). We have hand sanitizer and masks in the waiting room and have been asking those filling out paperwork to keep the pen they use.
We are asking any employee to stay home if they are sick or have symptoms of any potential sickness. We are now asking our patients and parents to do the same. If you or a family member is currently sick or displaying signs of illness (coughing, fever, shortness of breath, unusual fatigue/malaise) OR has come into recent contact with someone who has been sick, please stay home and call our office and we will be happy to reschedule your appointment. We know that the preventative measures taken by many businesses and organizations, to the threat of the coronavirus will bring significant inconveniences. However, it is important that everyone understands that a proactive response at this time is necessary to help prevent the further complexity of the current situation.
We appreciate your cooperation and always appreciate your support of L’enfant Plaza Dental Arts.

Taking a pass on oral hygiene
Only four out of 10 Americans floss daily, according to Delta Dental. And 20% never floss at all. Not only is this healthy habit good for your teeth and gums (friends, coworkers and relatives will thank you too), but it also just might help reduce the risk of certain cancers. According to the Journal of Indian Society of Periodontology, evidence suggests that chronic inflammation and infections associated with periodontitis can potentially increase the risk of a variety of cancers, including oral cancer.
Another study published on the U.S. National Library of Medicine website suggests that men with a history of periodontal disease could be at increased risk of developing pancreatic cancer. Though further research is needed to establish a link between gum disease and cancer, it can’t hurt to pick up the floss tonight.
