"Took all 3 kids ( 6, 5, and 2) to see Dr. Chu for their checkup. Staff was great, friendly. Dr. Chu has a great way of making the kids comfortable and relaxed. My 6 year old had 2 fillings last time and no problem with the anesthesia. 2 teeth pulled this time with no problem. Great dental experience for kids."

Happy Birthday to our neighbor Dr. Kravitz of Kravitz Orthodontics! He does so much for our community and our patients. We hope he has the best birthday ever!

Our first service dog visited the office today. Here is Tank watching his sister Abbey having her teeth cleaned! Tank belongs to Abbey's mom Megan who is a service connected disabled Marine Iraq War Veteran. Tank was very calm and quiet and we hardly knew he was in our office!

[08/13/14]   As the new school year approaches, we understand that after school appointments are preferred. Given the high demand for appointments at 4 pm and later, we are booking into March for these time slots. We do, however, have limited availability for 2-3 pm appointments beginning in September.

[06/30/14]   Attention: if you have tried to call our office today, our apologies as our phone lines are down. The expected time of repair will not be until 12:30pm. Please be patient with us during this technical difficulty. Thank you

Attn Parents: If you have a child 2 years or older and is struggling to let go of their pacifiers, we have good news! "THE BINKY FAIRY" will be at our office monthly to collect all those pacifiers.

All you have to do is have your child bring in all his/her pacifiers, place them in the Fairies Binky jar and in exchange they will get to choose a cute beanie baby of their choice. However the rule is, they must bring in ALL their pacifiers!

If you have any questions, please call us for details.

Attn Patients: Now that the summer time is approaching, I am sure no one wants to remember the harsh winter. However, we have two lonely hats that were left at our office in the last 2 months. Please see photo and contact us if they belong to you or your child. Thanks

[03/17/14]   Due to inclement weather, our office will open at 12pm today, Monday March 17,2014.

[02/10/14]   Treat Your Teeth This Valentine’s Day

We LOVE These Alternatives to Sweets.

Roses are red. Violets are blue. These alternative treat ideas are sure to satisfy you. This Valentine’s Day, serve up something special for your sweeties. No reason to put your teeth, or your health, at risk by devouring sugary sweets. Kiss the candy goodbye!

1. Heart-Shaped Pancakes: Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter and whole grain pancake mix to whip up a breakfast everyone in your family will love. And, no arrows necessary. Take that, Cupid.
2. Fruit Kabobs: Give the apple of your eyes a kabob loaded with grapes, cherries, and strawberries. Serve with some low-fat yogurt or pink cream cheese. Voilà! They’ll go bananas over it.
3. Nuts: Give them crunchy treats this year. After all, you’re nuts about them anyway, so why not help them eat healthily?
4. Stickers: What better way to say, “I’m stuck on you!” than to give your kids a bag of stickers instead of a bag of candy.
5. Lip Balm: Pucker up and read my lips, Valentine! Moisturize those smackers and get ready for some healthy eating this Valentine’s Day

[01/22/14]   Our office will be open today during normal business hours. 8am- 5 pm.
We hope everyone has a safe and warm day today!

[01/21/14]   Due to the inclement weather that is approaching our area, our office will be closed at 1:00pm today. If you have a dental emergency after hours, please call our office and follow the prompts to leave a message.

Any changes to our office hours tomorrow will be updated here and on our voice mail by 6:30am.

Be safe and stay warm!

[01/20/14]   The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for 1/21/14. Please call our office prior to leaving for appointments to confirm that we are open.

Please continue to check our FB page for updates beginning at 6:30am or call and listen to our after hours recording for current information.

Please stay safe!

[01/20/14]   NEW INSURANCE FOR THE NEW YEAR? Many companies have remained with the same insurance company however, they may have changed your plan benefits. (Ex: did your plan change from a Premier Plan to a PPO or a PPO to an HMO?) If so, we recommend you contact your insurance company prior to your child(ren)'s upcoming appointment to confirm we are still in network with your new insurance plan and to help you understand your new plan benefits. Although we will be happy to file with any insurance company, (Except HMO's) we may not be a preferred provider which could leave you paying out of pocket expenses. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.

If you or your child(rens) are suffering from flu or cold-like symptoms, it’s recommended that you reschedule your appointment. The flu, or influenza, is spread from an infected person through small particles released into the air when you sneeze or cough; even talking may release small particles into the air. A single sneeze may infect numerous people. Not only can you infect other patients, but you can also spread the infection to the dental staff. Dental professionals work in direct contact with fluids in the mouth so if you’re infected, they may get the virus. Although they engage in frequent hand-washing and barriers such as: gloves, masks and eyewear to protect themselves from infectious diseases, these are not foolproof.

Be sure to phone our dental office and explain why you need to reschedule. Our office appreciates that you’re considering our health and the health of other patients.
