Happy - by MARY G.

I was made to feel comfortable, and I received all the information I needed to go on with my treatment.
I would like to have my records and my husband's sent to your office to make you our dentist.
I was very happy with the Dr. and Amy who worked with him on my case.

So many layers!

[05/20/20]   Fantastic first day back to work! It felt great. Seeing our team work along with our patients. What we miss is patients able to enjoy a coffee or tea in the waiting room. We miss our family atmosphere. This just isn’t fair. Bless you & our employees! We love you all💜

[05/16/20]   We are opening on Tuesday the 19th! We wanted to make sure we had everything in order for your safety and ours. This is a new dimension for everyone. We ask if you have an appointment please wait in your car. We will take your temperature and have paperwork. We also ask to come alone, we do understand if you need a driver. Another item, please wear a mask when you enter. Please have your current insurance card available. If you have any questions please call us 515-758-2323 and ask your questions. We are so excited to see everyone!

[05/10/20]   HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!

[05/09/20]   When you come into the office you were going to need to bring in a current insurance card so that we can make sure we’ve got all of the pertinent information available. It is your responsibility to know what your insurance policy is.

[05/08/20]   We are planning to open our office back up on May 19 with normal business hours. We just need to make sure we have all of our PPE in to protect everybody. You will be asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment wait in your car we will have a form for you to fill out along with taking your temperature. We ask you come alone we are not going to plan to have people sitting in the waiting room however if need be we’ve got everything arranged that you can be 6 feet apart. we have been working tirelessly on this, taking classes keeping up with the American dental Association and the Iowa dental Association. I honestly hope that we get this virus taken care of so this is not the norm in our future of the office. We’re looking out for the protection of you and also us we will be calling people and rescheduling the appointments we’ve got you all on a list. Take care God bless.

[05/05/20]   We’ve been keeping up with the ADA & IDA about opening. Really no clarification as of yet. Possibly May 17. It’s going to depend on what the virus statistics are and all the PPE supplies we need. This virus will have a definite change as to how we conduct business. Forms, temperature taking & PPE. Just stepping up! We will be in touch, be safe, wash your hands, wear a mask!

[04/28/20]   Per the state of Iowa: we have to delay opening due to the up tick of the virus in Iowa. We can only see patients that are having pain and emergencies. Please contact Dr. Apodaca on emergency phone 515-360-1912. We are only able to see emergencies only at this time. Thank you for understanding.

[04/17/20]   We are going to need a dental hygienist to help us get caught up with all of the appointments we’ve had to cancel if there is anybody out there willing to work please let us know!

[04/15/20]   This I can honestly say... we cleaned our office continuously all winter, removed all kids toys, we watched what we ate, we got out and exercised. No one in our office got a cold or flu! It was a healthy season. We are really ready to get back to work. We will be contacting our patients to reschedule as soon as we are permitted! Dr. Apodaca has been seeing emergency patients and we are taking precautions. We are healthy!

[04/12/20]   Happy Easter everyone!

Our dental rep from Patterson Dental! Way to go Terry!

[04/02/20]   Before the beginning of spring break we decided to pay off all the delinquent lunch accounts at the school. It was to be a private donation but we don’t want parents to worry about that bill. Rest easy, great community, we band together looking out for the elderly, kids, parents, people fighting for their lives. What an awesome state to live in and we are just a small piece of it. We love our community and the surrounding communities who have supported us!

Another special note from our littlest patients. So blessed and feeling great!

We received some very artistic mail today. We absolutely love this 💕

[03/22/20]   Recommendations are when purchasing gas, wear a glove at the pump!!

We got our shields in!! Ready, so bored and tired of cleaning at home. We want to go to work! I can’t even imagine retirement

Our new pens awesome colors! Available when we open ! Count down?? When everyone is safe!

COVID-19: Protecting Dental Patients, Your Colleagues and You

Yesterday, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) issued strong recommendations to limit all non-essential procedures, including dental, until further notice. It goes on to say “Dental procedures use PPE and have one of the highest risks of transmission due to the close proximity of the healthcare provider to the patient. To reduce the risk of spread and to preserve PPE, we are recommending that all non-essential dental exams and procedures be postponed until further notice.”

You can help share this message with your governor and encourage them to use their authority to protect public health to limit dental procedures to emergency services. Simply follow the link to take action. Over 4,000 dental hygienists have voiced! And we agree!

votervoice.net In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, governors across the country are taking various actions such as closing restaurants, bars, and public gatherings to mitigate and contain the spread of the virus. Dental hygiene services produce aerosols that...

IDA Recommends Postponing Non-Essential Treatment for Three Weeks

Mar 17, 2020
The IDA recommends following the ADA guidelines that all dentists close their offices for three weeks to patients seeking elective and non-urgent care. During that time dentists should provide only emergency dental care and medically necessary care. This will allow us to care for our most critical patients, while also alleviating the burden that emergency dental care would put on hospitals.

We are planning to issue updated guidance via email and social media as new information becomes available. We encourage you to check the Coronavirus Resource Page for updates as they happen.

[03/20/20]   I’m hearing of offices open. Probably not the smartest idea. EMERGENCY ONLY!

[03/19/20]   We are available for dental emergencies. Call Dr. Apodaca at 515-360-1912. We will make arrangements for you. Be safe and help others.

[03/16/20]   It may come to emergencies only. We will let you know in advance.

[03/16/20]   We will be open tomorrow, however if you have been traveling, or overseas, running a fever... please respect your health care professionals and other patients. We are wiping down all the time, sanitizing everything and contingencies-are in place. We will take schedule home and contact you. We need to all take a deep breath, be honest with your travels and place trust in your dental professionals. We could be at risk also with unshared information.
