Ideal Personal Care

"Excess weight is definitely a factor in SDB (Sleep-Disordered Breathing) and OSA (Obstructive Sleep Apnea). Losing weight will help break the particularly insidious vicious cycle of fragmented sleep: SDB- stress- inflammation- fatigue- carbohydrate cravings." Gasp: Airway Health, The Hidden Path to Wellness

Ideal Personal Care

"Sleep apnea causes the body to go into a state of panic because breathing has stopped. Stress hormones are released and blood sugar drops, causing carbohydrate cravings." "Excess weight results in a vicious circle of more snoring and more sleep apnea in both adults and children." Excerpts from Gasp: Airway Health The Hidden Path to Wellness.

Learn sleep habits of Tom Brady and sleep like a champ

“I firmly believe that sleep and recovery are critical aspects of an effective and holistic training program,” Brady has gone on record stating. “Proper sleep has helped me get to where I am today as an athlete and it is something that I continue to rely on every day.”

Brady goes to bed at 9 p.m. every night. That means that he’s getting at least nine or 10 hours of sleep a night. Brady states that he usually feels overstimulated after a day of practicing and watching game film, so he’s come up with a list of cognitive exercises that allow him to destress. These exercises have the added benefit of helping him wake up without an alarm, something that sleep scientists agree is optimal if you can manage it. That way, you’re always completing a sleep cycle and never waking up halfway through it.

Brady also keeps all the lights off in his bedroom, minimizing blue light and other sleep enemies that could be keeping him up. “I like it cold and dark like a bear,” Brady said in a recent interview with Parade Magazine.

There are many potential causes of chronic facial pain, ranging from teeth grinding to a sinus infection. Toothaches and other dental issues such as periodontal disease are also a main cause. Other cases, however, aren’t as easy to diagnose. Sometimes, chronic facial pain results from a problem with facial muscles or the temporomandibular joint, which is located near the ear. The only way to properly diagnose the cause of your pain is to make an appointment with a facial pain management provider.

More than 15% of American adults suffer from chronic facial pain, such as jaw pain, headaches or earaches. When it comes to chronic facial pain, there’s never a ‘one-size-fits-all’ solution. Chronic facial pain is a symptom associated with a number of conditions, and diagnosing the exact cause of the problem can be exceedingly difficult. One of the best ways to receive the chronic facial pain treatment you need is to equip yourself with the knowledge to differentiate the cause of your pain.
