Stanly County Health Department offers health services including clinics & outreach. Environmental health services provided too. The Stanly County Health Department offers many services to the community.

Clinical health services available include Adult Health, Child Health, Family Planning, Maternal Health, & General. General Clinic offers lice checks, HIV testing, pregnancy tests, TB skin testing, & testing for sexually transmitted diseases. Other services available through the health department include WIC, Dental Clinic (for children), Care Coordination for Children, Postpartum/ Newborn Home V

Percent positive has increased slightly to 14.9% for last week. A percent positive over 10% is an indicator of high COVID-19 transmission in the county. Please continue to wear a mask when you are in public and with others who are not members of your household, wait 6 feet away from others, and wash your hands often. Ages 12 and older should get vaccinated to protect themselves and others.

Did you know that there is a Child Fatality Prevention Team that meets quarterly in Stanly County? This team includes public health, social service, medical, law enforcement, non-profits, emergency response, judicial representatives as well as concerned local citizens. This team meets to discuss fatalities that involve children to determine what could be done to prevent theses untimely deaths. Recommendations are made to the State where possible. This Thursday, follow in his famous footsteps and get your COVID vaccine at downtown Albemarle's Elvis Night. Shake, rattle and roll on over to our mobile vaccine unit from 2 until 7 pm across from Vac & Dash...thank you...thank you very much for doing your part to inspire our community!
