Albany Dental Care

Family Dental Office

Operating as usual

[04/27/20]   We are excited to announce that we will be re-opening our office beginning May 4th. As we have numerous appointments that need rescheduled from our 6 week office closure, we will be in contact to reschedule your appointments as well to confirm upcoming appointments. We have been working very hard preparing for the office re-opening and have put into place new protocols to help keep our office as safe as possible for everyone. In an effort to continue social distancing, we will be seeing fewer patients at one time and will have areas of the office not in use and limited use of the waiting room. We have installed sanitation stations and Plexiglas to help protect everyone.
We would like to explain what you can expect when you come to our office for an appointment.
1. We ask that you brush your teeth and floss at home.
2. When you arrive at the office, please stay in your car, call us to let us know you are here and we will come and get you when we are ready for you.
3. When you enter the office you will be asked to use hand sanitizer and fill out a health screening form. If you should have new insurance you will be asked to present the card at that time.
4. You will then be taken back to your chair and seated for your appointment.
5. Once your appointment is complete, we will take you to patient check-out and any other appointments will be scheduled at that time.
In addition to enhanced disinfecting protocols in our office, we will also be disinfecting our non-clinical areas of the office on a stringent schedule throughout the day. Please be patient as we have many patients that are needing to be seen and we are working to get everyone schedule or rescheduled as quickly as possible. We look forward to seeing everyone soon.

[03/31/20]   Dear Albany Dental Care Patients,

As we have tracked the status of the coronavirus pandemic, it has become clear that we are likely going to need more time than initially anticipated to recover from its impact on our business and community. We have made the difficult decision to issue an official stop-work and furlough most of our team effective March 18th, 2020. We will minimally staff the office during this period. As you are aware, our office falls within the most recent shelter in place order, which means that we are left with no choice but to shut down all non-essential procedures. We will be available to see patients for emergencies should they arise.
We hope to be able to resume regular office operations in the future, but like you, we do not know when that will be. The doctor does understand the impact on you and your family. Rest assured that we will be planning for our comeback, and at this time, our goal is to bring everyone back to work as soon as we can. We will maintain communication with you about our plans, and update everyone as we can.
When the time comes for us to start resuming business, we will reach out and start scheduling again! Again, this is not something we ever envisioned having to do. We know some of you will have questions. Please direct your questions to our office coordinator.

Sincerely,

Dr. Matt McCrady DDS and staff

[03/24/20]   Indiana Governor Calls for Shelter at Home

In response to the growing number of reported COVID-19 cases, this afternoon Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb issued an executive order calling for all individuals living in Indiana to stay at home or their place of residence. The order goes into effect at midnight on Tuesday, March 24, and remains in effect until midnight on April 6.

Exceptions are made for securing food and other “essential services.” Dental offices are included on the essential services list, but the governor went on clarify that nonessential medical and dental care are not exempted and should be postponed. Click here to view the ADA’s guidance statement on what constitutes emergency procedures.

IDA President Dr. Steve Ellinwood stated that the order has the same intent as recommendations issued by both the ADA and IDA last week, recommending that nonessential dental services be postponed for three weeks. The governor’s order goes further, not only limiting providers, but prohibiting patients from traveling to appointments if services are not essential.

In Gov.Holcomb’s words, “The intent of this Executive Order is to ensure that the maximum number of people self-isolate in their homes or residences to the maximum extent feasible, while also enabling essential services to continue, in order to slow the spread of COVID-19 to the greatest extent possible.”

[03/18/20]   Albany Dental Care will be complying with all ADA and CDC guidlines and CLOSING our office until the end of March as of now, unless we are notified differently! We will see patients of Record if you have a TRUE dental emergency, you may call our voicemail to get Dr Matt's phone number! Everyone stay safe!! (AND WASH YOUR HANDS)

rateabiz.com I am a very anxious and nervous person, especially when it comes to the dentist. Dr. McCrady and his team did a phenomenal job; they not only explained everything they were doing, but consistently asked if I was ok, if I had any questions, and they eased my anxiety.
