Love this picture of the entire team!
We hope you and your family are in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the past months, and all of us are looking forward to (somewhat) resuming our normal habits and routines. We are excited to resume seeing patients on Monday May 11. We are currently working on reaching out to anyone who’s appointment was cancelled during our time away.
You will notice some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff.
• Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions.
• We ask you to call/text us when you arrive and wait in your car until we come out and get you. Your temperature will be taken and you’ll be asked screening questions prior to entering the building. You will also be asked to wear a mask.
• We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. You will also find some in places around the office for you to use as needed.
• Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients.
• We will do our best to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the office at any one time.
We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call our office at 605-725-1500 or visit our website at www.smilesolutionsaberdeen.com. Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends.
While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety. Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice, and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. In our practice we follow infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up to date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies’ recommendations.

To our wonderful patients,
As healthcare professionals, the health and well-being of our patients, staff, and their families has always and will always be our top priority. We are experiencing an unprecedented chain of events in our country, and difficult decisions are being placed before us.
After careful consideration, we have come to the conclusion that we must temporarily close our office beginning tomorrow, March 20, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. With our profession falling into the highest risk category for infection and transmission, we feel this is the safest measure to take to protect our patients, our staff, and our community. Our goal is to reopen April 6, but as you know, this event is an ever-changing landscape. We promise to keep you, our valued patients, informed of any changes via our Facebook and Instagram pages, as well as by phone.
Staff will be checking voicemail regularly and will be on-hand in limited capacity to address DENTAL EMERGENCIES ONLY. These conditions include:
*Severe Toothache (thumping or throbbing that prevents sleep and/or daily functioning)
*Swelling of gums, face, or neck
*Bleeding in the mouth that does not stop
*Trauma (such as broken teeth due to injury)
As our healthcare system becomes stressed dealing with the COVID-19 virus we do not want our patients seeking care at the emergency room for dental issues, please call our office.
We will be contacting all scheduled patients in the upcoming days to reschedule their appointments for a future date.
From our entire team, we want to thank you for your patience and understanding during this stressful and unpredictable time. It is always our honor and privilege to serve your dental needs, and we look forward to seeing you all soon. Please stay safe, take care of your families, and don't forget to brush your teeth!
To our wonderful patients: We have been closely monitoring the COVID-19 coronavirus over the last several weeks. We have always taken universal precautions in patient care, meaning that all surfaces in treatment rooms are disinfected between patients, and anything used on patients is either discarded after use or sterilized. In the last few weeks, we began additional measures of disinfecting all surfaces in the reception area, front desk and all door handles hourly. We have removed reading materials and toys from our reception area.
We will be open for business today, March 16th for our regular hours, with additional screening provided to patients. All patients will be asked to use a prophylactic mouth rinse before any treatment is provided. Additionally, we ask that if you or anyone in your family is having respiratory symptoms of any kind, have traveled by airplane in the past two weeks (international or domestic), or if you think you may have been exposed to COVID-19 that you call us and reschedule your visit for 3 weeks or more from this time.
We are doing everything we can to keep our patients, team, and community healthy and safe. These are unprecedented times and we appreciate your loyalty and continued support. Please watch for updates as our office will be closely following the recommendations of the CDC and local authorities.
