Everyday Smiles Dental Clinic

Everyday Smiles Dental Clinic

This is the worst dentistry establishment ive visited in saint lucia, almost $200 for a 5 min vist, almost $200 for pills (thats understandable) however to get a sick leave for one day cost $75 and you are aware of the side effects of these pills prescribed so why the $75 and the very next day to be charged with a bill of $385... All this for a one tooth extraction nah ppl open ur eyes yes you are in pain but Dr naomi Mitchell and her team seem to be abusing that weakness there much better dentists here which i found out the hard way, working in a hospital i know first hand the goal of joining a sick care profession is NOT money larjuh... So honest opinion blacklist this place #keepingitreal

[08/11/17]   Thank you Valeen Charmon-Wells for your post. We at Everyday Smiles Dental Clinic do apologize for you not being satisfied with our service.

This is the first complaint that we have ever received stating that we do not cater for children. We have many satisfied parents who have brought un co-operative children, children with special needs, cerebral palsy, jaw disorders or other situations that may make dental care tedious and have left very satisfied and treated.

Our dentist is very child friendly and uses a number of different approaches to gain the trust of her patients so that professional care can be given. However this post is merely your opinion, we respect that and there are two sides to every story we will use this as an opportunity for self-growth.

However I must clarify. When you daughter first came to us she was very un cooperative as with most children her age who are naturally afraid of the dentist. We were however able to work with her to make her as comfortable as possible to provide care.
We DO NOT! AND WILL NOT! Hold down, tie up, or physically restrain any child in our office this is not a good practice and we do not approve of such torture.

A childโ€™s visit to a dentist will have a psychological impact on the child and will hinder future acceptance of care and this was well explained to you.

There is no need to subject a child to such trauma merely to satisfy a parentโ€™s wish that his/her child will not need braces later on in life to โ€œsave them moneyโ€.

If it is a case where the childโ€™s life is threatened perhaps because a tooth is infected or the child is in pain then another approach may be used, but the removal of baby teeth free from cavities or dental disease is not a reason to psychologically damage a child!

Once again we do apologize. But we will not! And do not! Hold down, tie up, or physically restrain our patients. Treatment deferral is an option. Wait until your little one is ready to have her teeth removed. Do not subject her to unnecessary trauma.
We do hope that you follow our advice and feel free to come and discuss with us.

We at Everyday Smiles Dental Clinic โ€œDo Careโ€ we offer a large range of services to our patients and we are known for gentle, professional service at an affordable price.
